IS JAVI JIMENEZ?

Javi Jimenez is an indie-pop artist from Costa Rica. He began his solo career in 2020, though, his musical journey did not begin there.

Since the young age of 8, he spent most of his time playing music: Going to drum, piano, guitar, and singing lessons, joining the school choir, school orchestra, multiple garage bands, and writing songs in his room. It was obvious this obsession with all things music was here to stay. After years of being “part of the band”, in 2020 he stepped up as a frontman to fulfill his dream of being a solo artist.

After releasing his first three songs, he got nominated for Best New Artist in Costa Rica’s Music Awards in 2021, and then his first record “Lovely, The EP” got nominated for Best Pop Record two years later.

Javi has been consistent with his releases and has maintained a growing international fanbase, currently with the U.S.A. as his No.1 country with the most listeners, followed by his home country, Costa Rica, where he has been playing live shows as the support act for international artists like Carlos Sadness and for the biggest names in his country, like Entrelíneas and Magpie Jay. Jimenez just got nominated for the third time in Costa Rica’s Music Awards for Best Pop Single in 2024, and doesn’t plan on slowing down any time soon.
